Well called ideal again . Had them give me the Tracking number again. Only thing they are showing that it left Austin last night around midnight.
Called the PO and it didn't arrive on the 3:30 truck so the next truck is tomorrow morning.
Getting crazy....

Call the PO and ask for the phone number of your Distribution Center and/or the Express Mail desk. Then call those numbers and ask if the chicks are there. You can ask to pick them up at the Distribution Center.

Just thought you might be interested in a "robbery" update. Our police department hasn't written up a report yet. And you won't believe this...we received notice that our insurance company is canceling our policy because of our Hurricane Irene claim and the robbery. The cancellation is effective Friday and our mortgage company called to notify us of this yesterday. I was mortified to learn of this.

We must have insurance in order to maintain our mortgage. However, we can't get insurance until this robbery claim is settled. And we can't settle our claim until we get a police report. It is unbelievable! In 30 years, we had never submitted any claims until the hurricane tore up our roof and now they are dropping us like a hot potato. My husband is scrambling and trying to get insurance.
We haven't had a great start to 2013, but I will try to remain optimistic that things will get better.

I called the Bethpage center and the chicks weren't there.Believe it or not they said they come from JFK ,go to Melville processing center, then to bethpage then back to Melville to be shipped to east Islip. Shocked a stamp doesn't cost ten dollars. I called Melville and talked to a nice guy named Kevin. He checked and they hadn't arrived yet. Said they had numerous delays due to the storm that moved across the country yesterday.he took my number and said that if they come in before 11 when his shift ends he will call me and he'll let me get them there. I can't ask for any more then that.

Glad that you have someone at the PO looking for the chicks. Hope they arrive tonight so you can sleep easy :)

Is that even legal? Can they drop you for making a claim? Isn't that the point of insurance? Geesh. I am so sorry that you are going through that.

Insurance companies are looking for any reason to drop people. They seem to think they are in the business of simply collecting premiums but never paying claims. I've heard of this a lot here on LI.
