much luv.......maggie
It's ok Donna, I know you just don't love me enough, rest easy. JK! You know I'll be putting up instagram pics like crazy. I did get a blog URL reserved but honestly I'm not sure I'll have time to write as I'm actually driving. I might just write notes in a journal and put it together after the fact. It's going to take all my energy just to get through the driving and the kiddie wrangling.Hi Heather, sorry I missed the show to say goodbye.![]()
I'll be checking in on you through Instagram so post lots and lots of Texas pics!
I still have loads of chicken shirts to sell but we've been so busy every weekend with one thing or another. I felt it was time to stay home and relax.
Welcome to all the new friends on the thread!![]()
I am busy as ever throwing stuff out, organizing, etc etc but honestly it kills me every time I look out the back window and see a bare patch where my coop was. I had to buy eggs at the grocery store for the first time in forever and I couldn't stand the idea of not knowing the names of the ladies that laid them. I see beauty in all birds, and always have, but my time with my flock has taught me how smart, funny and clever they are as well. I know I could never adopt a parrot or an emu considering their lifespans but I keep hoping that fate will bring me a crow to raise. I know! It's bad, I shouldn't ever consider keeping wildlife as a pet but who knows, maybe the universe will intervene. I also know that the next time I have chickens I will bring so much more knowledge to it, and the coop I build will be better right from the start. There will be a hospital wing, a brooder box, a quarantine shed, storage for feed oh you name it. I'm going to out-engineer NASA in designing it. Thank you all for the knowledge and good company!
