Speckled Sussex?

Anyone here have SS? I'm thinking of getting some I wanna know if there docile if there good egg layers that sort of stuff!! I've read some things on them just want to know a little more!

I do have one SS hen. She is a funny character, a HUGE eater, begging for food at the door every day. She's very sweet, at the bottom of the pecking order, so she roosts on top of the milk crate nest box, to my dissatisfaction, LOL. Nelda lays pretty well, but even after laying for months and months (she's a year old and started laying at 29 weeks) she still lays a small egg. The eggs she and her siblings hatched from were humongous, so perhaps her eggs will get much larger in time.
