Spring Granny Square Swap

Oh my gosh Betty those are beautiful! The colors look fantastic together! Oh I better go get that last color I needed and get going!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm cutting out my outfit and have the skirt and top cut out except for the lining. It's formal but I don't like dresses. I prefer two piece outfits. I have brocade for a jacket and light blue silkie like fabric for the main outfit. I'll post a photo when it's done. I'll check in here in case anyone new wants to join up but doubt if there'll be time for much else until the Jan. newsletter is out and my outfit done. So I'll be lurking in the back ground.

I'm really sorry peeps, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out of this Swap. I'm just going to be way to busy to have the squares done on time. I haven't even got the yarn yet!

It's been hard for me to find time for crocheting between school, taking care of the goats and chickens, church activities, and just life in general. Plus, a friend of ours is getting married in July and I'm making her a small blanket, so I really need to concentrate on getting that done on time.
Hope y'all have fun, I'll try to participate in the next Swap

I'm sorry you have to drop out. Maybe you can do it another time. I'm taking you off the list but if you change your mind you have until the 28th of Feb.

Hello crochet peeps!

Writer~ Your students are doing a great job! They are so lucky to have you mentor them to encourage this almost lost art. Tell them to keep up the fantastic work!

I like that pattern baustin. And some of those ones that you have Writer look really complictated. I have about 35 blocks done. Most are in muted greens, blues, and some lavender. I did a bunch in louder colors and then didnt like them. I reworked some of them too. LOL At least I think I am finally getting the hang of crocheting. Next time I hope to post some pictures of mine.

Does anyone block their squares? Just wondering.

Is anyone terribly allergic to dogs?. I have a short haired dog but she is shedding now and my hand vac broke. So I am doing my best to keep my squares dog hair free and am using tape to remove any hair. Just wondering if the dander will get to anyone? On that note does anyone own guinea pigs? I am very very allergic to guinea pigs. LOL

This is a good point. I am not allergic to dogs nor do I have any guinea pigs but I am very allergic to horses and cats. Or their dander rather. If anyone is allergic to dogs (or chickens, horrors!) let me know cause and I will wash mine before mailing and put them straight from the dryer into a clean plastic baggie.

I don't block squares. Putting them together seems to take care of any unevenness.

I live with a cat, but he doesn't come into my room, where I do most of my crocheting, and rarely goes into the room where I do a bit. My room and clothes sometimes have some kind of chicken detritus, usually bits of straw.

I'd not met anyone before with a guinea pig allergy. I have a life-threatening allergy to rabbits. I think they're related.
