Sky sounds like my miniature horse Snow! She is so greedy!

When star wants grass she throws her head, trying to catch me off guard so she can nibble on some grass before I realize what she is doing! That technique didn’t work very well for her today.

Ahh, sneaky Star. With Vinny, a horse I've been riding lately, you really need a chain over his nose on his halter to keep him in check. (though normally he's calm when leading) Well, the other week my sister swapped the lead ropes to 'our' horses accidentally, so I didn't have a chain. I thought I'd be fine as long as I brought him straight back to his stall, (as I have been before) but along the way, I decided to stop and talk to my sister and tell her she grabbed the wrong rope.

WRONG decision. Vinny started to get antsy then tried to take off, I ended up dropping the lead rope when he started to canter. He went about ten steps then stopped and started to eat. Never have attempted to not use a chain with him again!

Oh Vinny! He sounds so much like little star. You stop paying attention for one second, and they choose that exact moment to spook and eat some grass!

Ha! They're sneaky little things. You think horses are these majestic creatures...Well, they're more like goofy dogs that just want to eat. All the time.

It is sooooo hot today! Almost 90 degrees!!!
Today I got star to walk over blankets on the ground and then hosed her off. That was pretty much it. And I also added cats to the things that I still need to desensitize her to! Who would have thought that a cat walking around would be more scary than the blanket I was trying to get her to walk over! Well I will be working more on that!

She did! And I didn’t mind getting a little wet too! It really is ridiculously hot out!

I bet she does like that cold water! And ah, cats! You'd never suspect them.

Today it was pretty warm for my riding lesson, though I liked that the first half there were clouds over the sun. Felt 10 degrees cooler!! Come back cold weather, haha!

Not cold weather... how about a nice 55 degree day? Nice for riding and working with horses! Just me being picky! If I get a 40 degree day I will be complaining about it being to cold! Lol
