Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

My friend is contacting the rodeos in the area. He supplies them with bucking horses and bulls, so he knows everyone. Hopefully we'll hear something. When I told him there was no Coggins, that put a rush on things. This is top of everyone's list, now. Not only is the horse stolen, but if it was positive, it could be infecting rodeo horses worth tens of thousands of dollars. Cowboys don't take things like that lightly!

I just had a thought, what are your brand inspection laws in OK? Perhaps the brand inspector will help you out if he's moving the horse without hauling/health papers.

He doesn't have a brand mark.

I realized something was up in June, but couldn't get ahold of him. I waited to get ahold of him until it was too late apparently because he split with his wife. She's helping me as much as she can, but can't get his cell phone information because he put a protective order against her.

I really do appreciate all the help, it is a major blessing to have ya'll helping!

Now, what I don't understand is..with all the FREE horses that people are giving away right now, why did he have to steal yours??

I am so sorry this has happened to you and your horse. I know I am far away from OK here in Delaware but I will keep my eye out anyway..you just never know!

Because he is winning money on this horse! You can win a lot of money roping around here. You can make a good living doing this. A friend of ours does it.

This is a really bad situation.

Dad found the contract!!!!!!

He's sending a copy through the snail-mail. I'm calling the vet's office again today to see if anything has changed. Then, I'm off to work.

Again, thank you all so much!

I would post pics on all the craigslists in my tri-state area....

Then I would take pics to all the vets in the area..

Then I would call every number for a farrier in the whole state and try to catch him getting some work...

Then I would take pictures to all the local auctions and post them near the auctioneers, just in case he tries to dump the horse without getting into trouble. I would also see if you can post things that say if you try to sell this horse FOR the person you will be an accomplice to theft.

Then I would go to all the local trials and Riding stables and post pics

AND in all the local tack shops/TSC/feed stores etc....

Then I would attend every rodeo and see if I could find my horse....

Im so sorry..that SUCKS and your horse is sooo pretty!

I wasn't aware there was so much money involved, we have little stuff here in DE but nothing big.
