The failed hatch had no aircell. NONE. I was certain it was a bacteria bomb and took it outside, carefully started to crack it open before I realized I had a (too) full grown duck inside. Wasn't able to make it the rest of the way, believe it ripped a blood vessel durig the process and simply ran out of strength to do the work - but couldn't help for fear of causing more bleeding...

The only thing cuter than a chick is a duckling. And kids.

No idea. Not at home this weekend. My wife is taking care of things. I've not had an update this morning.

Have had a chance to talk with my wife. Apparently just the two ducklings born. Plus the one that didn't make it. Not sure what's going on with the other four, she has not candled. I may be doing eggtopsies. Tried wet hatching again, can't say I'm thrilled with the success rate. May have to try the hydrogen peroxide Spritz next. We'll get it dialed in at some point, but expect new hatching updates on my main thread. Will be gathering chicken eggs to hatch next.

Home safe, just candled. There's a noisy one moving plenty, so we'll get three from this batch. The other 4? I am not hopeful, but nothing is immediately obvious as to what went wrong, either.
