Stormcrow's Hobby Farm

Same here.
I wouldn't move to somewhere with hurricane, earthquake or volcano 🌋

But I have to deal with snow and tornadoes

nowhere is safe

What would happen if the Yellowstone supervolcano actually erupted?

Wasn't liking the projected track last night, it was moving back over us. Today's tracks are once again moving away from us, and the cone narrowing as well - I'm much more sanguine about it now. As bad goes, its looking relatively good for us. Not relaxed, just considerably less anxious.

In excess of 9" of rain so far - if we have to leave, the driveway will require some very careful steering. Water has cut a rut that would swallow a tire, and then some. Thankfully, the drive is about twice the width of the car, so even if this gets deeper and (a little) wider, that's plenty of room.

Hope all is still well for you, Stormcrow.

We're in an RV too, over in Ocala. So not as bad. A couple big gusts caused a little jiggling. We're not strapped down (no anchors). Our main precaution was to fill all the water tanks, lol.
I'm mostly perturbed that the flashlight we put in a plastic bag blew away. I forgot it on the outdoor table because I got all preoccupied filling "just in case" water sources. So now I can't check on the coop in the dark. A big bough came down from the nearest Live Oak but it blew away.

Hope to hear good news in the morning from all our FL peeps!

Clipped by the edge of it, mostly drew dry air from somewhere across our property. Declaring ourselves SAFE from Helene.

Have been in much worse summer pop up storms, with no warning.

WIll be back to my regular postings this weekend, when I'm not fixing the washout on the driveway.
