This morning I went to let my chickens and ducks out along with my baby chickens and duckings wich I have 2 ducklings and 8 baby chickens the ducks ran out of the hen house( I close them in at night because I live in the woods and I have had birds eaten by raccoons and foxes) they were running around and having fun,but when I came home from school At 4:00 or was raining so I went inside at 8:40 I went outside to put my ducks that had escaped in the pen but the ducking was dead I looked at his friend and she was just barely holding on to life so I took her inside and gave her food and water(wich she was not interested in at all) then I went and bought the other duck inside(he was dead) I wanted to see what was going on when i looked him over I saw that his beak was red and purple around the tip at first I thought it was poisonous berry’s but I changed my mind when I looked at the girl she was not using her legs and was looking depressed and tiered but she had some red around her nostrils and her feet are turning purple they’re are no signs of snakes or injuries and no sign of poison berry’s the girl probably won’t make it through the night if anyone knows anything please tell me

1. Month old I haven’t seen the other one yet wish me luck also it was raining and it was 65 degrees Fahrenheit they most likely didn’t die from cold

They aren't actually feathered in yet at 1 month old. So quite possibly got chilled and died from the chill of the rain even at 65°f. @oldhenlikesdogs has numerous farm animals and plenty of experience. It is good to listen to those with such experience.

The girls died overnight
For some reason her beak turned red when she died just like the boys

Sorry for your loss. :hugs
thx i knew she wouldn't make it

btw i just gesed on the age because i stop counting after week 5 , but they had enough feathers to be outside and i put them out side about 3 weeks ago so if they were cold they would have died earlier
