First one from the chicks I've raised!!! My walmart only had 2 of the colors listed. Have some ordered and can't wait for them to get here!! Working with these 2 colors now. want to get my squares made before that baby gets here

Yes something is definitely wrong with that link. I am on FB and I couldn't get it to work.
I need to get some more of the Caron-Bone. I had no idea I was gonna go through so much of that color! It seems to go so well with the other colors. I am also using a lot of the Cafe Latte but it is a very big skein so I think I'll be OK on that end.

Well, my daughter and her husband have had their offer accepted for a house. Hopefully it will go through without an investor coming in with a bid higher than theirs. I would think once your offer has been accepted that no one else could bid on it. Please keep them in your prayers that it will go through so they can get moved and settled. The boys start school in a few days if they don't go to the charter school, but I think that's where they'll go. The orientation is Thursday and if accepted they won't start school until September 4th.

It's back to being very hot here again. Another month and it should start to cool down.

Well I found my camera and got some grood pics (I think anyway, hard to tell on the tiny camera screen) of the dishcloths that Alethea made for me and the squares I have finished so far. Now if I could find my cable so I can download them to the computer!!! Ah well. I'm sure having to buy a new cable will be much cheaper than buying a new camera.

I got an email from the guy that I ordered the peachicks from and he is shipping them out tomorrow!!! I am soooo excited!

I'm a bit confused about how many participants there are. There's 20 on the list, but some are listed twice. Exactly how many squares do I need to make? {I'm only doing 1 set, btw. I definitely don't have enough time to do 2.}

Only 20 squares are required for one set. If participants committed to doing 2 sets then Sunny counted their name twice to make it more fair to them on the receiving end.

Good Morning Swappers~

I'm taking a quick BYC ~ Coffee break in between playing musical chickens.

Today will be another day of shopping w/ my DD for dorm stuff. We just do small errands at a time, so it's not so overwhelming, but running out of time. She has a calendar printed out w/ her errands and bucket list of things to do all mapped out on it.

Sun we let DD take another test drive run to the college to learn the way. We threw our bike's in the back of DH's truck and rode them all around the community getting the lay of the land and scoping out all the veggie friendly restaurant close to her college. It's a nice safe, small beautiful little community. There's a Farmer's Market across the street, a grocery store down the street, lots of restaurants within walking or biking distance, cute boutiques, etc... I guess she'll have to drive to find a Target.

I took my crocheting along so I wouldn't be such a back seat driver, but I started the wrong pattern.

I haven't had time to try to see if I can even finish it. No time last night to crochet either.

Sunny~ Funny you should mention that you need to get more Caron's Bone, b/c just a few days ago I was looking at how flimsy & wimpy my Cafe Latte looks.

I will definitely need to purchase more at some point. Glad you found your camera. I bet the cord will show up soon. I think my camera is shot!!!

I tried again this morning and get the same answer as before. I logged into FB first and still got an error message the first time but the second time it tried to open but just never loaded the page. I left it up on a separate tab and it is still trying to load but nothing is happening. It has been trying to load for over 5 mins now! I know my connection is slow but this is ridiculous!

The campaign may be so popular that the hits they are getting are overwhelming their system. (just checked again still not loading)

Yep 20 is correct. Those doing multiple sets get treated like another participant so they get 1 more back (from each participant) for each extra set they do. Since it really is like signing up as another person when you're doing a whole new set. They will be doing 40 or 60 squares though and you only need to do the 20 squares. I hope that makes sense to everyone. If I haven't explained it well, please let me know. Thanks.

OH! I'm so dissapointed! You always say "that's so eggciting". I was looking forward to it!

Well we never made it out the door to do more shopping and now DD has plans to meet w/ a friend, so maybe later tonight we'll get some done. I guess I'll take the dogs out and then head to my non-paying job and bring my hubby a soda.

BTW I hope a combination of crochet and applique is acceptable. My 12" squares all have crocheted stuff tacked on to the completed squares. As soon as I find my camera cable I'll post pics so you can see what I mean.

Fine w/ me too especially since one of my squares are crochet, embroidry, and weaving.
