Summer 2012 Granny "Square" Swap (sign ups closed)

I haven't named her yet. Don't know her breed unless she's a domestic shorthair. She's tiger striped in places and calico on her back mixed with stripes. She has white on her chin and neck and a little on her toes. She is the sweetest thing and loves to play but doesn't like to be held just yet. Last night she jumped up on the sewing machine while I was quilting and just settled herself right in and she was purring. Sadie still hasn't been introduced. Sadie knows something is strange in the bedroom though so they are aware of each other but I'm taking it slow. Sadie is so big now. She'll be 7 mo. tomorrow. The last two times we made a trip in the car she didn't get car sick, just drooled a bit, so I think she's going to outgrow it. It doesn't stop her from jumping in the car ready to go of which I'm thankful. She will get to play with my daughters bunch on Thursday again and she loves to do that.

Happy New Year's everyone!!!!

Love the doll house & furniture!!!! That turned out fantastic!!!

Betty~ Congratulations on your new kitty!!!!

Just wanted to stop by and send a quick hi to everyone! I haven't had time to pop on the forum much or crochet. I miss it !!!

Meant to get on yesterday but was so tired I ended up taking a nap instead. lol DH and I decided to get a room in town to avoid the late night drive after the dance on NYD but I didn't sleep a wink in the strange bed. Next year I think I'll just make the drive and hope the drunks stay out partying for awhile longer. We had a great time at the dance though. Anyway...

Happy New Year everyone!!! Here's hoping that 2013 is the best yet!

Congrats on the new kitty Betty!

Hope you all enjoyed your holidays.

I finally got a photo of my new kitty, Mindy. She's 4 months old and of course into everything. She doesn't like to be held but she loves to play and be petted. You can see why I don't get much quilting done.

I introduced Mindy to Sadie yesterday. I put Mindy in the dog crate and kept Sadie on leash. Sadie barked twice, Mindy hissed once and then they were nose to nose meeting each other. About an hour later I turned Mindy loose but kept Sadie on leash and they got up close and personal and became friends. Go figure! I expected Sadie to be difficult since she didn't know what a cat was. Mindy is used to other dogs. Anyway they are loose in the house together and doing just fine. That's a relief! My hubby said they wouldn't get along. I'm glad he was wrong.

That's so cool! I used to have a shepherd that was half wolf and because of that I never introduced him to the cat. One day we couldn't find the cat so we looked outside for him assuming someone had accidentally let the cat out. Yep. We found him curled up against our dog's belly snuggled in with the dog's legs curled around him. They were both fast asleep. We never worried about keeping them separate after that. :) Ah, memories.

I think animals know more than we do. Last night Sadie and Mindy were chasing each other around the living room and dining room and I couldn't keep up with who was chasing who.
