Summer 2012 Granny "Square" Swap (sign ups closed)

Sunny seems to me criticizing me for knitting and crocheting is like criticizing Michelangelo for painting. Sure he could paint a bland flat wall, which I do too, but he use his imagination to create paintings that challenge the mind.

Who doesn't like Monet?

We're builders with yarn.

It also seems to me that God didn't mind since Jacob made Joseph a coat of many colors most likely weaving with wool. The apostle Paul was a tent maker and God called him for one of the greatest works, to preach to the Governors and Kings of his day. I've been to Israel and seen the tents of the Bedouins. They're made by weaving wool and then felting it to the point it reflects heat and repels water.

Customs have changed is all. A man does what he has to for his family. If I have to cook I cook, if I have to run wiring I run wiring, take the wifes car in for repairs or do it myself, mow grass and whatever needs doing. Yours has to do what he can to keep his mind sharp. Not doing it would be the real shame. IMO it takes a stronger man to stand up to his peers.

Weird. BYC isn't posting the quote part of my post. This is in response to Rancher's post.

I agree completely!!! He'll get a kick out of your post. I'll show it to him when he gets home from work. :)

Thanks
Sunny

Beautifully said!

Hi everyone, Wow! what lovely blocks. They might put mine to shame. I went to Joann's today since I was in Lancaster to get a skein of lt. grey to finish a project and they didn't have any. It's a good thing I ordered some on line. That should be enough but thought I'd pick up a skein so I'd have something to work on as I can always use that color on another project in the future. I did pick up a skein of lt. sage as that's another color I can always use. My online order was shipped today so it will be in by the end of the week or early next week. Hope I'm here then. I'm on the go so much these days.

I read your post to my Hubby. He got that mushy, touched look on his face and said "Tell him I said Hey back" Then he said "and thank him for the encouragement".

Hard to tell from text alone but it was a very sweet moment.

Good morning all! We got some very much need rain last night so the air is clean of smoke this morning and simply gorgeous!

I am feeling a lot better today. I think this ear infection is finally about gone. I will be picking up some lavender orps today from a breeder I've dealt with before and I love her birds so I am very excited. Hope you all have a great day today!!!
