Well, I'm at work and Gary is at the lake w/ his family so my MIL checked the mail and their was a package slip in the mailbox soooooooooooooooooo the good news is I bet my box is at the PO, the bad news is I can't get it until Mond!!!!!!!

Just wanted to drop a quick note. I probably won't be able to access the internet, Hurricane Sandy is heading this way and we are expecting 2" of rain and 70 mph winds. Gotta get the chicken runs wrapped in tarps to keep them as dry as possible. We are expecting widespread power outages. We do having camping equipment, a propane camp stove, lamps, etc. Gonna fill jugs of water for the chickens. The worst is losing water supply. We have city water but we are at the top of a mountain and we have to pump our water uphill. No power, no water pump! Anyway, I'll be checking in til I lose power! Have a great day everyone!!

Oh I'm so glad you like it!!! I didn't know when you'd get it because I know you travel back and forth a lot.

Yes future swaps will be posted on the crochet thread and often on the last couple of swap pages as well.

Definitely sounds like quite a few folks are interested in hosting future swaps.

Oh how cool! Goodluck! Here's a website on various ways to stiffen the flakes after they are pinned. This gal is really awesome and she has tons of snowflake patterns on her site as well. I tried a few more products myself and I love the "Stiffy" fabric stiffener the best. Since this is the first time I've used it I don't know about yellowing over time but it dries super stiff in just a couple of hours under a fan, with only 1 application. The Elmer's school glue, watered down, also works well (and from what I've read doesn't yellow badly) and it's non-toxic but it took over 24 hours for it to dry thoroughly. It is much cheaper though! lol Apply either with a 1" stiff paint brush.

Oh I almost forgot. The glue holds the glitter on better but you probably know that already.
