Sunflower Chickens

Well looks like I have really screwed up. I managed to blow out the tips of both of my pinkies last night splitting fire wood. Spent 6 hours in the ER. Thhey didnt even give me any pain meds, and let me tell you thos is the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. Now i am trying to figure out how to feed and water my birds now,so if there is a willing party wanting to help me out for a day or two I would be in your debt for ever.

I got something at Orscheln's with vit, minerals and electrolytes.

Little chickie is doing fine this evening. No more hatches today. Will be the first thing I check in the morning.

i was splitting fire wood with a sledge and a wedge. The sledge head fell off so I used my hand to swing the sledge hammer head into the wedge. smashed my right hand between the sledge and the wedge got really mad then did the very same thing with the left hand but this time my pinky was inside the hole for the stick so it smashed more of my finger.

Little Belle - tiniest of the bunch but fiesty! Skye and Irish in the corner - shy or naughty, not sure which.

Outdoor brooder seems to be working fine. Temps staying up around 90-95. Turned the lamp off for a few when it got too warm this afternoon.

All are active and seem to be okay. What a great load of fun!!

Egads Ozawakie. You're more of a man than I. I would of stopped after the first smashed finger. Those look like they're sore digits. I, on-the-other hand, (pun intended) splintered my right index finger in a squirrel cage fan. I stuck my finger on the belt — and round it went. Don't ask how I did it. It was a really dumb accident.
