Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

I have been very fortunate as I have two big Rouen Hens and my huge Mule Duck along with my two Muscovy Hens, one which is bigger than the other. So far they have only gotten Puriana Flock Raiser and Laying Feed and never had any problems with any of them. The Rouen Hens are now 6 and I have had them for the past 3 years when they were rescued from my Boss at the time whose wife got tired of them. Mine won't touch peas for some crazy reason. I have tried different times but they just turn their noses up at them. I pray that yours get better soon.
Mine are ok i was just asking if i need to supplement more in winter. But mine see a green pea and absolutely go crazy and quack till i feed them. Who can get tired of ducks...... they are cute little dictators!

So for winter you supplement more?
Ive been adding Nutritional yeast once a week now. But ive also been giving them about 1/2 cup of peas a week to. I dont wanna give them to many.
I do just because I have done bigger breeds and want to make sure they are getting enough
I know it costs me more but worth it

Update on my acute niacin deficient ducks. The two muscovy are still limping but all three muscovy went foraging this morning (good sign). They each chomped down on the Vit B Complex soaked mealworms last night and this morning and are drinking Rooster Booster Poultry Cell in their water.

Pingywingy, the special needs pekin, is not eating, not even mealworms. I again gave him his Vit B Complex by pipette down the side of his tongue this morning. He is drinking his Poultry Cell water, quite regularly and so I am going to make him up some oral rehydration salts (which has glucose in it) and add his Poultry Cell to that.

I had to pick him up from the back of his dog crate as he made no effort to get up. He had a swim in the kiddie pool and did preen himself when I lifted him out of the water. But, he is just lying behind his food and water bowls now.

I put the three muscovies' food on the outside of Pingy's run, by Pingy's food, so that they come there and eat by him. I hope that will encourage him to eat. Now it's raining and cold for this time of year, so I have rigged up a tent over the temporary run, using a tarp.

Poor duckies. I think white potatoes, sweet potatoes and some canned fish has niacin, if that's helpful.
