Not sure how I got so lucky but both the little ones are girls
Long story short…. A lady got fertile eggs from me for her broody goose to sit on
17 days later she messaged saying the goose left the nest and she didn’t have an incubator
Asked if I could finish them off
She said she would take them back after they hatched
She brought me only 3 eggs out of 12 she took
She has no idea what the goose did with the rest
All 3 hatched but baby 3 had what they vet thinks is septic at birth
We lost her even with efforts of antibiotics. Just didn’t have enough time to kick in
Other 2 the lady never came back for
I said if girls they could stay
Well we are both honking so we are keeping them
Autumn and midnight

Maybe only in July and part of August we don't hit 50's at night. A 90° day nets 50's, when it hits the 100's it hoovers around 60's at night and around 110° and up we hit 70's at night. This state holds a record back in 1970's it went from 49° to -54° in 24 hours, not uncommon for 50° plus temperature swings. By mid October snow will be on the ground till April/May. First day of Spring I claim is Memorial Day here.

I claim winter is coming early too, mid 80's for August, nope that's wrong and we had hand full of scattered days of mid 70's in August. Normal is 90 to 100+.
You're a tad farther north than I am. 🤣 I think the biggest temp swing I have seen here was going from 80⁰ to a blizzard in a day. We tend to get a cold snap the week of Halloween, and often have snow while kids are trick or treating... But it doesn't stay for long. Our highs versus lows tend to be about a 30⁰ difference.

Tbf, I moved here for the weather. Its not typically too hot, it's typically not humid, and it snows sometimes but not enough to stick around for more than a week.

I have a bamboozlement to report.

My wee baby girl Truffle is now 6 weeks old and may actually be a duuuude duck.

Still not 100% sure though, will report back later. View attachment 3609487
I know that feeling, thought I had 19 girls, after 8 weeks I now know for sure I have 16 girls and 3 boys though that can be subjective in next week as one looks to be of both sexes.
