Behold my Sunbeam!

He really doesn’t like snuggles. He REALLY doesn’t like them. He hates them so much he’s always lurking close by, ready to remind me how much he detests the hugs.

He always makes a show of trying to get away before I catch him but somehow he always manages to forget how to scurry out of the way at the last chance.

Adorable boy! Sounds like my Sprightly. She is the most snuggly girl.
Some days she sasses me, I sit by her and she forgets her sass and gets all sleepy having cuddles. And then when I stop for a few seconds she remembers to sass me and scurries away.

Other times she seeks them out, but only if Dougie isn't looking.

It is not I that is being abused this week.... but Sprightly.
Dougie has decided that she wants to sleep on TOP of her nest box each night. She likes being the queen of her castle. I think she wishes she could roost high up like a chicken... Anyway I digress- Sprightly sleeps on the ground. And she came out of the coop yesterday morning with POOP all over her back. I'm serious, it was disgusting, I had to wash it off because she refused to go in the pond.

How can I tell Dougie that this is inappropriate behaviour?? I did not raise her like this.

How dare you take off her mineral mask! 😄

A little update on my rehab duck
We had a geeky slow week with no improvements but then a few days ago she seemed like she was getting stronger on the one leg
With her I really think this is going to take a long time to get her fully mobile
When I got her the one foot was really tore up from dragging it in the sand in the run ( the 2 ducks were with the chickens ) but the foot has made great improvements
I’ll post before and after pics
The one pic was actually a week after I got her and had already started to look better as it was infected I had done 5 day treatment of medication
Also the last video I took of her getting over to me
I feel like she is getting higher on the one leg that she use to drag
