I took her to the vet this morning as a drop off and waiting to hear what they say.
The specialist who do surgery didn't give much info about recovery, even when asked.
I did start her back on the baby bird food and ordered Kaytee Exact handfeeding food, which came today. I feel she's lost weight since the last visit and asked them to please tell me.
I am hoping they won't keep her all day as it's going to be warm out this afternoon and she can actually be outside, her happy place. I'll update when I hear from them.
Yes, you do need a hug. You've been truly heroic in all of this. You're getting wonderful advice from very knowledgeable helpers and I don't want to interfere with any of that because I'm nowhere near their level of expertise. However, I can put your mind at ease about the brewer's yeast, it won't do any harm at all as it's a completely inert substance left over from the brewing process and is full of B vitamins. There is a similar product called Nutritional yeast. As far as I know, the difference is mainly in taste, others may know more about it. One is a powder, one's a flake. The flake is delicious on toast and popcorn. 
I put the powder (a spoonful) on my dogs' food, they love it.
