I have 10 pullets which 5 have started laying eggs within the past 4 weeks. Most days I get 3 or 4 eggs. Yesterday I was surprised to get 5 eggs. Today, I only got 2. Is the low number of eggs due to our current cold snap and first snow fall? My chickens did not like the snow and stayed in their coop almost all day yesterday, and today, a low number of eggs. Just wondering if colder weather can have that much influence on their egg laying? Thanks.
