I saw a second SFH girl pacing in and out of the boxes yesterday as well!

We are probably around 10 hours of daylight right now. So I thought I might not see anything until spring.

I always view it as a success when they actually lay in the box. 1 of my EE girls (Salsa Pancake) that is 2 weeks older than Cleo laid her first egg the next day.

Can't wait to see next years SFH chicks!

I have a question for everyone...when/ do the swedish flower roosters develop saddle feathers? We have some that are about 8 weeks old with hackle feathers come in, but no saddle (on suspected roos). All the other roos have their saddle feathers already but are different breeds.

yes they have saddle feathers. Usually saddle feathers develop at 12 weeks.
