my duck has one swollen leg. No scab on the bottom of the foot so I don’t think it’s Bumblefoot. He has black spots in his leg. Anyone have an idea?

Looks like infected wounds of some kind can you let him/her soak for a while and then take pics is that dried blood?
They yellow part of his leg has an indentation where the black is. I dont know if it’s blood. They are free range and I put them up at night. They Pretty much stay in a pond during the day in my front pasture. It doesn’t look any different when he gets out of the pond. His limping is getting worse though.

Could a Snapping turtle have gotten hold of him? I'd keep him out of the pond because of bacteria. It needs to be cleaned up and some type of antibiotic ointment put on it. He may need an antibiotic for infection also. Can you put him and a buddy in a small enclosure and treat?

That is possible. I have moved him to a pen and will catch one of the others to stay with him.

You can get it at feed stores and TSC it has gentian violet in it and is good for helping heal but will also disguise any wound from other birds pecking it which happens frequently with chickens it stains purple so beware and wear old clothes and gloves to keep it off of you. There are other products out there too like Veterycin Wound and infection spray and triple antibiotic.
