Texas

Cool wyandotte. I mostly show my Ps
and Ks. If I have Cs and Hs in good feather thats super. I would like to compete in the display class this year. I just do the Bantam Brahmas in light and Buff. The first Abilene show is the West Texas Fair, the Abilene poultry club has a good show in October also.

Yeah, Saint Jo is in north central Texas. What do you have to do to show in La.? Just send a copy of your typhoid-pullourum papers with your entry? I have only shown in Texas and Oklahoma.

Hi Tim,
I think that's all you do-provide your NPIP cert. upon entering. My friend said it's a pretty good show-I think they show more banties that SF/LF at that show.

I live in Central Texas. And it is flipping hot here! Although it does seem alot better after spending 3 very long weeks in Lousiana with my cousins. It's so humid there that if you walk outside for 5 seconds you're already drenched with sweat...yuck.

My wife our two kids and I live in the Victoria area near Yoakum. We are new to the board. Just ordered 3 EE pullets, 3 Welsummer pullets, 2 SL Wyandotte pullets, 2 SL Polish St Run and 1 Danish Brown Leghorn. Ready to get them. My wife wants bunnies for my son and daughter, too. I am thinking fainting goats wouldn't be bad either.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the board and chickens. I live in Floresville, and have been trying to read as much as I can on here. If anyone is in this area, feel free to PM me. My husband is getting tired of hearing about chickens and guineas. I have 12 chicks and will try to post pics, cause I have no clue what kinds they are.

Bunnies don't give back unless you eat them which I couldn't do if they were pets

, but goats give you yummy milk and you could try your hand at making cheese! We got goat's milk ice cream at the farmers market last weekend and it was delicious and no goaty taste. I only have room for chickens in my yard since I live in town - but would love to have room for a goat!

Checking in here. I'm new to chickens and new to the board. I live in Austin, like 5 minutes north of downtown. VERY urban! But I have a huge yard, a very awesome and bird-friendly / open-minded landlord, and a neighborhood with no HOA to impose dumb anti-pet rules. So I'm ready to chicken the place up!
