Since the Waco+surroundings meetup group doesn't seem to already exist, I decided to try and create one! Let's see if we can gather a local group of people interested in all sorts of backyard shenanigans and looking for a sprinkle of social time on top! https://link.heylo.co/rLcm

In my wildest dreams the ensuing local group becomes a breeding ground for a full on chicken swap, seed exchange and skill sharing operation... but meanwhile we can just start with a humble local meetup group - if/once some people join, let's set a time and meet around a drink or coffee and a bite. It could be sweet
Also, you don't have to be in Waco or be able to meet on the regular to join (it's definitely made with the intention to be geared toward local stuffs and meetings, otherwise this thread is already doing the job very nicely!) but it's not like one would have to be there in person every single time anyway. The group portal comes with a little chat platform, so even if you are a bit away from Waco, it could still be a way to be part of a local group that you meet once in a while only... dunno, I'm just trying out something here, we'll see!! Hehe

I've missed all y'all. Life's been a busy bee! I hope everyone made out ok in last night's storms. I'm not sure how bad it was, but it was rowdy enough to wake me up.

Got myself a nice lil campfire going tonight to beat the cold. Seriously regretting not getting the S'mores kit I saw in Sam's Club recently.

I haven't been around for a bit, thusly I've forgotten about who asked for a female kitten/cat. I might can hook you up late November. I'll have to check, though, and can't do that until next week. What age are you looking for? I think it was AuntJess that asked.

Some people ask rehoming fees to make sure they aren’t being taken as snake food, etc. Sometimes that is negotiable if you prove it is a good home.

I completely understand where you're coming from, but $80-$100 for a kitten that is just a plain jane domestic is just ridiculous. Every time I email someone, I tell them what kind of home, other pets, no children, etc.

Sorry, I'm jumping on at a random spot. But are you looking for kittens? Like vaccinated and free spay kittens? I just recently purchased three girls from the Kittery, in Mexia, they come with all their vaccines and a waiver for a free spay. They're a nonprofit and they take great care of all their cats and kittens.
Only 30 bucks for a kitten, and if you buy one you can get a second one for free.
