Texas

I've always thought it was normal because they compete for food

I think I read somewhere that crows will attack baby chicks. So they may have some kind of instinct to ward them off to protect the flock. The 2 times the chickens went after it, it was the BR Roo leading the charge. I may have to keep him if he is such a good protector.

This is our grand daughter Ker 'rin, she is 9...it's her first meeting with chickens...

I love your nesting boxes...and your granddaughter is precious. There's just something special about kids & animals together.

We're in Cedar Park Texas. We have 2 cochin, 6 Rhode island reds and some mysterious micro mini hens that I swear must actually be some type of crow. :/

NOTE: The run in the pic belongs to the mini hens only. The larger run is being remodeled today. I'm not that mean ;)

I swear sam my roo is spoiled every day he know he is gonna get fead around 3:00 pm and as it gets close to it. He starts crowing as to say. Hey have u forgot I am out here waiting for food. Lmao silly roo and as soon as I walk to back door he will be standing beside his coop door watching to see if I am coming or not. I think he knows the routine better than I do.
