I'm using Eprinex pour on to treat them. It's so much easier than dusting all those birds, and it also worms them at the same time and has no egg withdrawal period. It killed the mites, but not the eggs, so I will retreat to make sure and kill any newly hatched mites on my birds. Screwball was the Only bird who had mites and eggs, but still did everyone. I got a bale of hay yesterday for my nest boxes. Going to keep using wood shavings as bedding, but hay for nesting material. Will see how they like it once I open up their nest boxes and put dummy eggs in them. I think I read that chickens start laying between 20 and 24 weeks of age. So I am getting everything ready to try and teach them where to lay.
