Areolyn, I do not know the parents, unfortunately. She's starting to grow some light brown feathers. At this point she's more of a brownish red. Her sisters are just plain black except for their cream tummies. Hehe, mystery chicken..... hey that's a great name!

Probably red then, which isn't too bad, adds a little splash! Mystery chicken is a fabulous name haha.

I don't mind her being a red. Its awesome. Apparently people in my area are having troubles finding them... either way I'm just happy I have new babies.

People have trouble finding red ones? Hell, they're all over the place where I am! Most of the time that's all you can get!

Any idea if that's even a standard color in cornish bantams?
If you are interested in breeding to the standard and showing, then you need to join the American Poultry Association/American Bantam Association and get the Standard of Perfection. The SOP has information on breeding, as well was the information on the colors of Cornish Bantams that are recognized, and all the different physical characteristics that you will need to breed for.

My newest granddaughter was born Tuesday morning. She is beautiful and extremely smart. There is just something so special about a new born baby.
I am in love.
