pretty cool you have ovaries on your hands that is unique for a guy but living in Denton County I get it. I have them put the pico into my tacos that makes it ala mexicano in the first place. At least down here. That thought put this song in my headWell, I've already established my non-typical status so, here goes....
I have been known to take a bite of a "street taco", regular soft taco, burrito and then pour the salsa or pico into mouth - then chew.
My logic? No napkins or I was currently driving and wanted the flavors without the wet mess all overy hands and stuff.
Version 2: kiddos tried to sneak my salsa mix cups (prior track record validates their behavior repeating as "likely")
Version 2.1) ... so I might also dip said item in the cup "double dip style".
Still in the 70's??That's funny @Matejka , we are only about 120miles apart as the 'crow flies' and we are still in the 70's

I know what ya mean, got a family run Mex restaurant here that has the best Carne Guisada tacos, ever...I ask them, y'all have any bigger tortillas, these are too small....they are 9 to 10" long and 3.5 to 4" around when filled.1st) I fixed *That* auto-correct, thanks for the humourous snark & the musical number too.
I have been at it over the last 20 years to "ask for pico &/or salsa IN the taco or burrito".... Sadly the togo orders never follow through in a true sense of the order. And the sit down places are nearly batting 25% to pre-covid time. On an occasion I'll find a place with staff that know the phrase, "run it through the garden twice!"
Sadly, that was all paused since covid.
Case in point of a rarity, we have a local family own tex-mex sit-down joint. The make a really good fish taco, they also make a really good butter soaked spinach. Freshly blanched . They will put that spinach on the fish tacos are it's great with their in house salsa. Occasionally I have to tell the wait staff to send it back to the kitchen for a proper amount of the spinach in the tacos.... Butidigress...
Yeah, all that crap about country, duty didn't mean squat to me, I was more concerned about the men I had charge of and getting them back home!....alive!To be honestest we didn't do squat to keep you safe. We just followed orders. I am sorry @Matejka that was my reality. For sure we would have preferred keeping you safe as an option. At least that is my story.
