I've had chickens since 2000, but when I found BYC last year and started reading (just about every day) I've learned SO MUCH!!! Most everybody at BYC is super nice and very helpful. I love the way everyone shares information, knowledge and ideas.
I visit Facebook about once a week.......ALL my time is spent here at BYC.....yep I'm addicted.

This is for anyone in the Waco area: News channel 10 is wanting to do a story on me about going off grid. I really dont care to be on tv. So I was wondering if anyone in the Waco area would be willing to do the story. I currently do not live off grid but want to. This is the info I posted on facebook (Going off the grid has a whole different meaning for me.As in being self-sufficicent. Hubby and I would love to go off grid, but can not really afford it right now. Such as having a wind turbine, solar panels, digging a well, etc. Right now we have close to an acre and we're able to grow a huge garden, raise chickens, as well as have line dried clothes. Im learning how to can and to make my own soap. Next year I plan on having bees for honey and maybe even a few small goats.) and now they want to do a story. So if your doing something similiar to me, I would love to be able to give them someone who would be willing to go on camera. Please contact me ASAP!!!
