Day #3, Dec. 16th: I will definitely spend some quality time with the flock today when this rain eases up! I've been very satisfied with how fast my rescue hen is progressing in clicker training, and I'd like to practice with it today as she's about a week into it and doing great. Going to spend some time with family this evening too, and maybe have a game night?

Curious, what are you training with the clicker?

Tomorrow is the perfect day to get out there and review some Coop page Articles which need judging!

Yes! Helping with coop page articles or learning center articles is a great idea! Bonus points if you do five or more

@PioneerChicks - Hey there! A long-winded explanation! We are training Wally to put herself up to bed at any time when asked, as she was very spoiled to start with in her rescue journey and demanded to be picked up. But when she got in with her duck friend, she gets a wild hair and runs around like a crazy bird at bed time. Sometimes we get bad weather or have to leave and need to make sure they are locked up safe a bit before dark, so everyone has been clicker trained to go to bed with no fuss. It also helps if we are out of town for work and someone else is chicken-sitting, so they aren't left chasing them around. Wally in about a week's time has progressed to being very eager to go up anytime she is asked. We're looking for her to learn "Go to bed" as everyone else knows so she will step up in the coop by herself with the duck. I also want to teach her to spell her name on alphabet cards eventually through clicker training.

I've never heard of anybody training like that! That sounds like an amazing solution! I would love to see a duck who can spell her name, please keep me informed!

(here's him and his former lady friend- she was trying to cheat and sneak the snacks, though I did further teach them separately and they learned to tap the bell without pulling it as the board was made to stabilize it when first teaching)

Day 4 :
As promised, I gave my chickens some mealworms and other snacks I forgot last evening.

And I commented on an article that was a nice idea (change a shed into a coop) but had no photos and didn’t explain much. Probably not meant to be an article.
