... Seconded. All of this, except swap out "Sapphire Sebright," for "Starburst."I’m thankful for so many things! Here are some:
1. BYC! I LOVE this community of people who love chickens as much as I do, as well as all of the kind people who are on here! Thank you, @PioneerChicks, @cluckmecoop7, @TwoCrows, @Sapphire Sebright, @KaLe dA QuAiL, @CrazyCochin, and everyone else for being so kind and encouraging to me!
2. My chickens! There’s something about my feathered friends that always brings me so much joy! I mean, what’s not to like? They’re fluffy, adorable, funny at times, love snuggles, and they're the pet that makes breakfast! I just love how my chickens can bring so much comfort and love in their own ways.
3. Writing! I’m so thankful for writing, especially creative writing, where I can create my own world to slip into, my own safe place.
4. Reading! Much like writing, I love how a book holds a whole other world for me to escape to, to explore, to imagine.
5. Church. I’m so grateful for my Church and also for my religion.
6. Christmas! I love that day when we celebrate Jesus Christ's birth, and come together to praise God and worship.
7. Squishmallows! I know, kind of strange, but I love those squishy friends! The simplicity of their shape makes them so huggable, and they’re great for my therapy and make me happy, so, grateful for them! (I take the ”Collect them All” very seriously.)
8. Nature! I love the lush forests, salty seas, quiet meadows, babbling brooks, and towering mountains that surround me. They are full of peace and serenity, and swarming with wildlife. It really is a great reminder of how amazing God's creation is.
9. Cozy fires. There’s something about sitting by the fire, sipping a mug of Hot Cocoa, with a book or some knitting in hand that really fills me with warmth and joy.
10. Cooking. I love cooking up yummy food, and I’m always so grateful for the nourishing meals that I can give or am provided with!
11. Photography. Though I can’t say I’m good at it, there’s something about taking a picture of nature, chickens, other pets, food, or something else that just fills me with joy. It’s capturing something that you can look back and see even if that thing is gone.
12. You! I’m thankful for you taking the time to read this, and thankful for your kindness, and, well, for you being you!
I hope everyone is having a lovely day!![]()
I'm also thankful for my guineas, and for seeing my friend this past Saturday -- also going to do a cookie swap with her this coming Monday!
Thankful for all the cooking that's going to be done in this week, too.
(And also glad that this chapter in my chemistry book is short and mostly reading material.)
