The fresher the better. There is a drop in hatch rate that start after the first week. It gets worse after 2 weeks of storage.

Hopefully they did not hold them but had other orders to fill.

Set them and hope for the best!

Well, I ended up setting a different number of eggs than I expected. I set 10 ayam cemani, 3 fibro EE, and 6 frizzle eggs.

Question. How long after being laid are eggs able to hatch? I ordered some eggs on eBay (stupid, I know... but they were cheap. Now I know why... )
And it took him about 2 weeks to actually send them to me... after telling me they were all packaged up and ready to go.
(Thank goodness I found someone here on BYC to order eggs from! Great service, and super prompt! )
I’ll be setting either 8 or 12 eggs tomorrow at noon, depending on whether or not I decide to set the eBay eggs.

If you have them and have room you might as well set them.

Yep, what Yorkshire said. Supposed to pip at the fat end, not the skinny end. Here is a photo of one pipped, at the wrong end. Should pip where thre drawn lines are.View attachment 1290412

Was the chick able to hatch being upside down?

I clean all my eggs with hydrogen peroxide before incubating them.I have it in spray bottle.I spray eggs then lightly wipe any dirty spots on egg

I'm going to try this when I get home. My araucana eggs need a lil help.
