My eyes full of terror, I turned around and round, but fire and smoke enclosed in on me. My eyes burned and I panted from hotness and from nervousness. As long as all the other pets were safe, I could die and feel like I am not needed by anyone anymore. My master was gone, and Goldie probably will soon forget about me and go back to his flock. Fido will find a new home, and then where will I go? Probably to a animal shelter, to sit in a cage for weeks upon weeks. Im not needed anymore. I whimpered. Smoke filled the room, and I passed out.

.what happened? I stammered. Fido went in and found you passed out, so he brought you out! Goldie clucked excitedly. I looked at Fido with thankfulness in my eyes. A human walked over to my cage, opened it and took off my oxygen tank. Were taking you guys to a shelter. She told us. Guys, we cant go there again! Well never get adopted. I said nervously as I darted through her arms and ran away with Goldie on my back and Fido by my side. That night, all of us snuggled together, I thought to myself I hope we will always be together. But it didnt happen that way. The next day, Goldie and Fido left.
