Ok y'all, we've added a few more items to the list:

1. Display "Thread Starter/ Original Poster"
2. Fix "Search In Thread"
3. Open vs. closed contests (done with Prefixes)
4. Add-back chicken smilies / emoji
5. Update mobile apps for Andoroid & iOS (done, but working out some bugs)
6. Search private messages / conversations
7. Who's posted & viewed a thread (PFM's Only)

I am loving the new updates!

Question: might it be possible to get folders for Private Messages, similar to what was on the old platform? I quite liked that feature, I had them sorted according to current projects... just makes hunting down information easier.

Sorry if this is not the best place to post this but I have a question please?

With the new format, I believe up until a couple of weeks ago, 'Watched Forums' used to show on the toolbar along with Watched Threads, New Posts, Search Forums but is now a drop down option:





I do not think I changed anything on my laptop to cause this but I may have so just checking if it was changed on the site?

If it was, any chance we could put it back on the toolbar? Or, is there someway, bookmark etc, that I can make a watched forum easier to get back to? I did check out the bookmarks but it appears to only be for threads?

There is a high chance that this is user error and you can me, but only after showing me the quick and easy way to get back to New Members

Under the old format, I was able to put links in my signature line. They would show up in blue, and were handy to refer newbies to pertinent educational information. This feature was available to all members. Now, one must pay for PFM in order to use direct link. IMO, if I'm providing helpful information to an other member, I should not have to pay for that privilege.

And what I don't understand is that you can still have them on BYH?

What about a forum called HOW TO? And talk about HOW TO put together a 1st aide kit and a small list of what goes in it. HOW TO build a small wooden pop door. HOW TO build a small tractor. Etc etc etc. You don't have to go into great detail but general instructions to help people get started. WELL COME TO THINK OF IT. THIS WHOLE SITE IS HOW TO. Thank you all. I appreciate all your hard work and help.

I am not sure what a Twitter feed is, but if it is anything like a instant 'chat' function there was already one but it got taken down. At least, that is what I have garnered from reading old threads.

Yeah. It just a live stream of comments. Like a chat.

Oh, Please, No!
There's already enough 'free association' and/or 'live stream' blathering going on,
especially when folks answer from email(or even onsite) without reading the whole thread and think before the thumbs/fingers start flying.
I really, really miss when forums had discussion threads(some still do and some are even here on BYC)...you know start a topic and/or ask a question and everyone paid attention to all the posts and contributed to the topic if they had something pertinent to add.
Most threads here seem turn into a 'chat room' or 'twitter-like feed' anyway.
