I measured the same way you did but I did mine in inches instead of millimeters...that's why the numbers look different.

Well the jury is out on this for me based on what I am getting right now..... If you ask me right now I think it is a crap shoot...... But... I will wait until the hatch is all done AND you have to remember my numbers are low compared to you and others who have a ton of hatching eggs in the bator. BUT this is fun stuff so I will post at the end of the week!

YES and they are GREAT! Have two shells in the mail out tomorrow. They are so quick I should know by this Friday.

Can you tell me how you keep track of which chick comes out of which shell?

I use colored vet wrap tape, it works great!! But again, I am doing small scale. Not sure how that will go over with a lot of eggs.

Kiki question:
So you put color vet wrap tape on the chick and the egg, then they give you the results of say the blue taped egg and ....???

Kiki, when I did it, I only set the eggs that met MY criteria (visual inspection) for being a "female shaped" egg. Therefore, the only thing I looked at after hatch was the % of pullets produced.
