Thank you Joy. My comp is not running worth a toot... So I sent pictures to Julie in hopes when she has time she will help me out with that.

Mine isn't running so good right now either - it keeps going in and out. We are having some heavy rains and my satellite does not like the rain - hence my internet going in and out. I sure wish I could get cable or DSL internet out here in the middle of nowhere.

Irene I will post them in morning. I have to upload to photobucket and i am just to tired to do it this evening. Hope you don't mind waiting. YOur coop is fab and so are all you pullets. I don't care for the black cockerel but your blue is great. Those black pullets can be sent back to Alabama any time you want. They are going to be some gorgeous hens. Can you imagine them completely filled out at 18 months. I am sure they will go thru their first molt before then though

I don't mind waiting

no problems there. Those black girls... are the ones you sent banded if that helps you figure out who the parents are.

That black boy is huge... even bigger than both of my good blue roos. Would you say that black boy is more American type?? I tell you I have alot of ROOOOS... lol and sometimes... they make me feel out numbered. lol I just tell them.. if you start that one legged fan dance.... its in the pot with you.. lol Makes me sound tough.. lol I have not gotten rid of any of the roos that came from you and I am steady trying to lower the number of the roos I got from other folks. I think I have at least 10 more to go. I have suddenly realized.. that I honestly don't have very many hens on the blue side of the duplex. Makes me wanna crank up the bater.....Naw... have to wait until all those sandhill roos are gone... don't want any chicks from those roos.

That new addition took forever and it still isn't wired for electric, painted... nor has the new open fenced play yard been installed yet. I think I can wait till next spring for everything but the electric.

As you can see.. I still haven't picked up all the mess from the construction yet.. but I have made a huge dent in it .. you can trust me on that... lol The coop isn't finished yet. I still want to paint, hook up electric, pick up some more picket fence to keep the snow out, and put up an outside fenced play yard. I will probably have to settle for the electric and snow fence this yr... but that's ok.

Oh those pics are of the backside of the coop duplex.

The last photo you sent.... the two smaller black hens in it are sandhill hens. I have way to many roos in there. I figure I will keep all the hens I have for right now since I don't have that many... That way at least my best hens won't be bothered by all the roos. I hope those boys can behave themselves through the winter.. OR I will have to cage them individually. The coop is insulted.. but I need the body heat of the extra chickens too.

Joy I wrote you a HUGE email last night... and <<kicking comp>> the stupid comp froze up and ate it..... Boy I was soo mad.. ugggggg.

Renie - Your coop is wonderful !! I love it !!! I'm going to show hubby these pictures, as we are going to be building another coop this Spring. It really looks great. WOuld love to see the front. THe birds look great too. I want to see that blue roo's comb in the next to the last picture - it looks like he has a dozen points !!

Hagrid crowed for the first time yesterday morning !! At least the first time that I've heard it. Sounded more like a frog with a sore throat croaking, but it was legitimate crow !!
