The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

OK Joy, FINALLY!!!!! Some pics of my 3. They are 4 1/2 weeks old now.

The black cockerel, as of now Jester. Taken from the "royal blue" suggestions we came up with a few months back. No one used it, and I loved it so I did!! heeehee. He is a spazo when I try to pick him up. EVERYTIME!!!

The blue cockerell, for now Scepter. Also from the "royal blue" names. His comb is way bigger than the pullet but in this pic he just wasnt standing up like he does when hes in the brooder. Wouldnt hurt my feelings one bit if he turned out female but, ya know.........

And the blue pullet Saphira. From the Eragon series, Saphira was Eragon's sapphire colored dragon. Looks like she already has some lacing starting to appear. The second pic is probably more "true to color"

Joy, I love those first attempts at a crow by the young guys. It really seems like they're giving it their all to make that "big, manly" noise...

After they actually learn to belt one out is when I wish they would quiet down.

Kassandra, beautiful babies! It seems like just yesterday my little ones were at that stage of growth, now they're huge balls of fluff. It happens so quickly.

I love the crowing, too. My boys are only 9 weeks old, but at least one of them is giving it his best shot every morning for the last 4 or 5 days- ERR, ERR, ERRRRR. I hope the "roo" part of it comes in, cuz he sounds pretty funny. He hears Ultrasuede and Alexander, and then chimes in.

I LOVE the names Jester, Scepter and Saphira-

Now that is a coop for Royalty!
My birds live in shanties compared to your beautiful home for your babies.
lol the other day.. we had some horseback riders come by... and one of them said.. NOW that's a Chicken Palace.. HAHAH

thank you
