The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I want to see that blue roo's comb in the next to the last picture - it looks like he has a dozen points !!

Oh that is Rusty... I am looking for a forever home for him.. Just can't bring myself to send him to freezer camp.

I'd like to imagine it would have a rich blueberry scent... with extra, erm... exfoliating qualities.

Jeremy, we have 3 barns; one stall barn and two tobacco barns...want me to pack you one up and ship it to you?

I wish there were more tobacco barn standing around here. Crazy thing is that the counties surrounding us have started charging farmers property taxes on their old tobacco barns. They were given the choice to pay the taxes or tear them down. Sadly, most have been torn down.

What? That is insane? Unbelievable. Those tobacco barns are history. How very very said to have to tear them down or pay taxes on them. You know with the taxes they already pay for property, you know those barns have been already paid for 1000 times over. This really angers and saddens me.

I hope it does not happen here. This is tobacco country and there are old tobacco barns standing EVERYWHERE !!

Sandy glad you are back.
I took a few quick shots at nearly dark this evening so the color is not the best . Makes them all look darker than they are.'
Hoss will be 7 months old next month. He is a big boy and sweet

This is a huge Charlie Splash. He is six months old. He is going to be a whopper.

These two sweet six month olds are lighter than they look in this pic. it was way to dark to be making shots. Love their faces and eyes though.

That roo behind Hoss in the second picture just cracks me up! I wonder what kind of weird chicken-like creature would result if we bred him to my MoMo (with the unbelievably huge wings and short legs).

Julie you are driving me crazy with all those lovely chickens.. I put an add on Craig's list last night hoping to get rid of the extra roos I don't want. So there will be alot of room in the coop once they are gone.
