I wish I could get a decent pic of the Cock. He just does not want his photo taken.

This is a eight month old cockerel but the light is so bright it dulls him a bit. I have to take his through the fence right now .

My God. Those birds are Wonderful. Take my breath away more, ok? I can take it, I swear!
You crack me up.
The day was so beuatiful here. Mid 60;s and the sun was very bright. I enjoyed just getting out a bit. I am still not stooping or bending. Amazing how that can limited you.
This is the first time in a long time I have had free time. I need to get in there in my chair and finish making a nice scarf I am working on. I feel like I have been a bit lazy.

HAhaha someone accused me to drooling a bit much once. I still do. I can't help it! I love me some great looking Orps. Especially the UK type. The APA ones are really nice, but us Americans have removed the things that make them great table birds too much for my taste. I want a dual purpose bird like Mr. Cook came up with. Not a skinny egg layer. Those are a dime a dozen at your local feed store!

Hello guys and gals,
I finally have my first batch of English Orps. from Jordan Farm. 6 lemon cuckoos, and 3 chocolate bantams. I'm Soooo excited!!! I'll post some pics if I can get them to hold still long enough. I do have a question for you folks. I've been told that will need their butt fluff trimmed for fertility. Is that true?:/

Temps here were in the teens today. Needless to say everybody is in the coop huddled beneath the heater.

Yea, I hear ya! 4 deg. right now. Any way, as far as the fertility goes, I do not think it is necessary. The cloaca is not obscured by the feathers when they 'get down to it' from my experience.
