Is this a line/inbreeding issue?

Mine were really fertile at the beginning and now 4wks later they are starting to be sketchy. They were in with a few boys, so maybe this cockerel isn't quite doing his job like he should be. The girls slowed up on laying, too. Out of 5 girls, I was getting 2-4 eggs a day. Now I am getting 1. Of course, the best layer is the girl with white ear lobes.

I had that problem with aussies earlier on..even thou I plucked things got a little need of attention..and clean up..then back to bisness..You guys know more about thier genetics..

This pair is from pips&peeps. The girl is laying well - we get about 5 eggs a week from her. I am thinking the roo hasn't hit maturity yet - I have never seen them mating. I have a younger roo from someone else who in about 6 weeks will be going with this hen (and this roo will be going with the hen he came with).

It's our first time with Chocolate. This hen is super fluffy so we may also have to trim her. Live and learn!

I have chocolate roos from 2 different lines and I have yet to get a fertile egg. I don't have any bantam hens though, I was trying with pullets and it just wasn't working out.
Anybody have any bantam blue chicks or eggs they'd want to swap for some LF black chicks or eggs? All I really want to get out of it are a few mauve hens. Just for me. I just think they are so cute.

BTW- lovely buffs, Aveca!

One of the blue babies found a plastic band I use on the waterers to secure them to them wall, he slid it over his body and walked around with it on him like it was a piece of jewelery LOL It was pretty funny.

I helped him out of the thing and instructed him to "behave!"
