Oops - Sorry! I uploaded a thumbnail. Here is the full-sized picture. It looks a lot better now that it does in this picture. I'll see if I can get a better one later this week.

He's 12 weeks now.

We had an accident though yesterday. He somehow squeezed himself between the wall and the roosts (it's only 3 1/2 inches wide) of the new coop and I didn't realize there were nails sticking through the back of the board, so he cut himself. It's on the upper thigh under his wing feathers. Hubby came up and dismantled the roost so I could get him out. He was walking around and eating after I separated him. His sister was so sweet laying there next to him.

I feel so awful, and I hope he will be alright.

I swear chickens will find a million ways to kill themselves.

Chickens and horses - if they can find a way to hurt or kill themselves, they are all over it!

Thank you, he's a sweet boy. I brought him in to put more neosporin on it. I sat holding him for a while, and he sat there trilling at me. He wolfed down a scrambled egg, so that's a good sign. I put vitamins/electrolytes in his water also. He's resting right now.

My Orps started early on Their Thanksgiving meal today. I cooked a ham bone with lots of fat and then took it out picked the majority of the meat off and put my collards in and took the fat and all to the Orps. they loved it. They will get all the scraps from Thursday.
Can't let them out today though. Letting the poop in the yard dry in so all my guest won't track it in on thursday. Looks like it will be 80 here. Whooo Hoooo. I have my front and back porch fixed up pretty and my doors painted a fresh coat of paint.. If we could keep the leaves out of the pool.. we didn't cover yet till after thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great day. Company coming is a great incentive for cleaning.

I want to have a chance to get a few more pics. Yesterday would have been perfect if i hadn't been so busy working on other things.
My girls are growing daily.. Wish I could get a few eggs though.

I'm so happy this morning.

I went to check on my injured boy, and he's walking around fine - not even limping. You wouldn't even know by looking at him that he was injured. I gave him more aspirin in his water, just in case, but he's eating and drinking well.
