The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

They look great, Julie! I really like Hoss! He is one handsome dude!

I stuck a few eggs in the bator today. Will see if I have good fertility with them. I think I have 2 girls laying, Julie (blue) and one black beauty. I get 1 or 2 eggs a day from their pen.

for good fertility for you!

Anyone in the Fl, Ga, Al area going to the Florida Sunshine Classic in Lake City Fl.? I would love to meet some other Orp breeders and have a good showing in this area for these beautiful birds. It is Jan 8=9 2012.
I am planning on showing one of Joys pullets and hopefully a few of mine and a blue cockerel out of Charlie. It should be fun.

Just over 7 months old.

Julie - Hoss has gotten really big. He has beautiful blue color !! (Is it just me or are the pictures blurry?) COuld be me - It's 6 AM and I did not feel like getting up and getting to work this morning. LOL. Chester is looking good from what I can see. Get a good one of him and post. Would love to see how he is shaping up when compared to his brothers that I still have here !! And Miss M...mercy - what a gorgeous girl. Beautiful color - fluff galore !!! Is she from Winston and Minerva? I can't remember? Charlie's boy look great too, as does the splash. I'd sure like to join in that Hen Party !!!

I can't wait to see how that pullet from Winston does...you are talking about Taylor, right? You;ll have to be sure to let us know.

Toni - Good to see you again. Pics when you can.

Tori - Nice birds. I love the color on the splashes.

Egg? What is that? I have not had an egg in so long I fear that I'll keel over when/if I ever get another one !! When Clementine and The O's start laying, I'll be hatching regardless of when it is.

Took four of your offspring to a show on Saturday here in NC. My almost 8 month old cockerel, "Biggie-Small" , took RV/RB to a much older larger rooster out of VA but I was very happy with the results for his age.

I also took two pullets but they were the only ones as the others were aged hens. I learned allot and will continue to show Biggie and one of the pullets for sure. Can't wait for next years shows to start, It will be exciting to see what they are capable of once they get a bit more age to them.

Joy- I wish I had a couple of yours to show too.
