I'd never seen my BOSS germinate. Lazy year I spread them all along the fence line. Never watered them though. I suppose they need the water :0)

Julie, I've only been making soap for a month or so. I have a friend that will trade goat's milk for eggs. I found a recipe that uses 4 yolks and the milk. Haven't even tried the soap yet. In another week or so I'm lathering up with the good stuff. It's really addictive, Julie!

Delisha, my husband suggested last night to let the girls eat the bugs in the vegetable garden...silly man. They'd eat all my seedlings in minutes. I guess I'll have to see which ones they'd leave alone.

I use to have sunflowers growing under the bird feeders until I had to start taking the feeders down because of the bears I like them BIG sunflowers that grow over 6ft tall with flowers as big as dinner plates Have to buy the right seed for those.

Dee, the soap making is so addictive!...did not know you could use egg in it as well, what a great way to use extras! have you seen some of those web sites? soap queen, brambleberry? unbeleivable what those ladies create..As soon as I get through inspection and getting things around for summer grazing for poultry...Im going to get some more equipment..My husband only likes bar soap, he hates it when I buy the liquid..cant wait..Some of those bars that the ladies make look like candy..amazing..
