Nothing is wrong with splashes in my opinion..but for some reason they do not like them at shows.I might some day keep a splash hen..maybe. They are pretty. I have enough problems breeding blue and black. I need more experience before I toss in splash. I do not keep splash Wyandotties either..or Ameracuana's. Just the blue and black.![]()
You are so right, here we have bred them little different, but alot of the UK orps don't have Cochin looks and are alot like ours.I sure hope I don't get something started here, But yes you can, They are Orpingtons, England is where they were made if it wernt for the English birds we wouldn't have them at all, I show mine every chance I get & do fairly good with them, You get out there & show them birds !!!!!!!!!!
