The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

So I know I can probably uncover this information elsewhere, but this seemed like a good place to get a quick answer. I am looking to add some Blue Orphingtons to my flock, and I know that the offspring will not all be blue, my question is whether or not the black and splash offspring will still have blue chicks? Also is the temperament pretty calm like the standard Buffs? If I do decide to adopt this breed they would be sharing territory with my silkies.

Love the roo photobombing this picture.
Pretty pullets!! love them

This is why it's so hard to get pictures of the Buffs we have from Vickie... as soon as I open the door to their pen they are running at me! They know who brings them yummy treats. They have names now. Xander (roo), Buffy (with the leg spiral) and Willow (no leg spiral).
Beautiful buffs... Love the color

My baby GLO's.
They are almost 10lbs!!!! The male is 6 oz's over the pullet. I know he will get much bigger too.
That cuckoo in the background weighs almost 7lbs. She is a nice big bird.
They get along fine with the silkie. He is a spoiled silkie and they let him get away with every thing.
The Ameracauna weighs 5lbs.

LOL ! I'm so glad you are continuing to spoil them. The kids are really growing !

Vickie, even your grandkids beg to be spoiled. Rock, Wilma, and Junior come flying when they see me step out of the back door. I have feeling that if they were not in their own enclosure they'd be tripping me like a bunch of cats.

Harry and this two don't so much any more, they are after all "too grown up" to act like that. Plus Harry doesn't like it when I lift him off whatever girl he's playing piggy back rides with when he does that too close to me. Have some respect there boy!

Reposting to see if anyone can help me out. I really want to get started with these birds, but if I get a combination that wont allow me to get blue in the offspring then it'll be a huge letdown.
