Yes you can get specks of white, on the eggs, even after they have been laying for a while, but when they first start to lay you may see all kinds of oddities.

I don't want to get into the mixed breed stuff. Getting some Orpington (Pure) if I can find them and the people on this thread will lead me in the right direction. My Buffs are pure. I want to add Chocolate, not from GGF however. Just not sure if the chicks will be easier to sell then getting Black Orpingtons. Are the Blue Orpingtons considered Pure? I know the splash are not. This will be an investment and I want to purchase good pure stock. Possible? If so Who has them?
