The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I wanted to take a few pics today.... but it got late, so here are some of the pullets as they were going to bed. Note to self: Chickens don't like their pics being taken at night. 🤣

Lighter lav pullet (gray comb)

darker lav pullet (pink comb)

blue pullet (nicest shape)

black pullet (my only black/lv split pullet this year) She really didn't want her pic taken -only wanted to run back inside the coop

.... and because she was there, here's "Lonely"

Can't understand why she's so pathetic-looking.

I also can't help but think this is her theme song:

Poor lonely.

Second attempt at orp pullet pics. It was drizzling a bit, and damp chicks just don't pose as nicely

Blue orp.... slightly muddy

Lav orp 1 (slightly darker lav color with lighter comb) She's @homeschoolin momma 's preference

Black/lav split pullet. She's OK, but not a fav. I'll need a black for next year, so she'll probably be it.

Lav #2 slightly lighter feathers and black comb.
Not sure why, but this one is a fav of mine.

Perhaps it's her "expressions"

She is cute. Lots of personality. I like the darker color in my lavs. The lighter one has a nicer shape right now though.

The blue is the only one who has a "good shape" right now but I'm pretty sure the other 3 will fill out. They usually do.

Show off what you hatched today! Is it fluffed up yet?
Do you have a broody to adopt or will you be keeping them inside for a while?
