The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Has anybody ever tried the food coloring method with any success? I've tried it several times, but it never works for me. If anybody has used it successfully - please do share !!

oh...and Julie - I have one fertile egg so far and it is due to go in the hatcher tomorrow. Anybody know a "rent-a-chick" place? I hate to raise a chick alone. I'm hoping that I get at least one more fertile egg to hatch in the next couple of weeks to keep it company.

Congrats Joy, I have three going into lockdown this evening from my small group of Julie's.

I am very excited to see them hatch, not sure if there will be much floor left between the living room and the hatcher.

I have three possibly more that will go into lockdown next week as well. Hoping for a few more show winners!

Why yes, yes I do Joy... conveniently enough there is one located right here in California near my house... somewhere, I'm sure...

So, you just box that lil' bugger up and ship her my way and I'll make sure she has a brooder mate!

I'm so excited to see baby pictures again! I remember for the longest time wanting my chicks to grow up so I could see how beautiful they would be when they were grown. Now I'm wanting fuzzy butts again!

Joy I am sorry the baby doesn't have a buddy

It gets mighty lonesome being the only chick.

Well, my one lone little egg is in the hatcher - fingers crossed that it hatches. Good luck to everybody else on their hatching !!

Kathy - NICE pictures !! You have a couple of lovely pullets and I do like the color on your blue boy. All my blue boys are dark, so I'm going to be working on getting some nicer color on them this year.

I'm hoping to have a few 100% English juvenile pairs available for sale soon, but will only have a very limited amount, as I'm still working on building my flock. Exciting days are on the way !!!

Kathy, They are lovely! Our snow is gone(touch wood) but it's still a muddy mess!
