LOL....your right.

I was just shocked to see chocolates directly from Robbie Boyd...I had to look at the auction description twice...but it says they came from Rob.

Joy, glad to see you back.

I cannot wait to see pictures of the GL babies!

Did you have time to finish your book?

Krista, my roost is only about 6"-8" off the ground. A few of my girls are quite busty and I don't know how well they could get up off the ground. I rarely ever see them jump or flap up high anywhere. They're pretty much grounded, I figured it would be easier on their legs to not have to jump down from a 4'-5' roosts every morning.

Sandy - No rest for the weary around here !! We seriously worked our butts off. We had to take down 4 huge maple trees and I dragged and burned brush for 3 days straight - 9 hours every day. The brush is all burned, but now we have about 3 dump truck loads of split wood all over the yard that has to be hauled out back and unloaded and stacked - then we have to clean up all the saw dust and little branches and twigs - UGH !!!

Jeremy - I'm about 7/8 through my book !! Thank you again for sending it - you are so, so sweet to have thought of me !!! I'll try to post those GL pictures this evening after I get off work. Dwain went to the doc this morning for what SHOULD have been his last appointment for his foot surgery. NOT GOOD !! Doc put him back in the walking boot and took him off work for 2 more weeks !!! *sigh*

I'm trying to get these up before I have to unplug everything again- we're between storms and I've only got a bit of time, but I thought I'd share some of the images with you.

I got to hold not one, but TWO Choc Orp roos, sitting and snuggling them on the grass in the bright red soil at Marc's amazing farm. I was in Heaven.

I can't tell you how much it made my grin ginormous to see a couple of Choc Mamas and their broods of little choco puffs rolling around the yard. They we being overseen by a quiet, watchful pigeon that just seemed as awestruck as I was. It was just a wonderful sight, and the legs are obscured by all the fuzz of the fluffy skirts. I really can't begin to compare these birds with American Orps- they really are just like two different breeds.

Anyway, the thunder just now is like bombs going off, so I need to unplug my wireless, so I'm uploading and unplugging!

BTW, we dodged deadly tornadoes all the way home, and now it looks like that area has gotten pounded again, along with lots of other areas. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have suffered damage from this, and I hope everyone is doing fine!

Chookschick...I hope you continue to dodge the bullet there....my heart goes out to all those in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri...all the states being slammed by Mother Nature.
Thank you for sharing those beautiful Orpington pictures with us....they are fantastic.

Chooks thanks for sharing those. Great photos. So glad Marc was able to import.
I took a few pics yesterday. didn't have time to make sure they were good. I am so near getting the bathroom finished. Only have a min here today before i have to run to the lighting store again and get hardware for vanity.

Hi Jean,

It all depends on the wheather: when there's a lot of sunshine like we have here here in Oklahoma, they seem to be a little bit lighter in color and when it's overcast, they look darker chocolate.

Hey Marc,

Do the chocolates fade in the sun a bit like a buff? They look a bit faded, but it could be the lighting in the photo.

Thanks,
