Mine often look bald too ....mostly a little fuzz and a few feathers....but they feather in fine eventually. I've got some bald looking guys in the grow out pen right now.

Never cull a slow feathering Orp, most turn into the best looking birds.
I am selling some of my part English Orps on Monday and I had marked "baldy" to keep because he has the nicest shape at this time and is the largest. I know he is still young but I figured it was all I had to go on at this time and really wasn't worried about the feathers.....but he IS the worst looking feather wise so I understand what Klf is talking about.
I absolutely would not cull for slow feathering. Most of my English boys are very slow to feather. I forgot who it was now, but somebody here on this thread had a little orp that was bald for months !!! She posted a picture a while back and that bird was a beauty !!
My GL babies are the strangest feathering orps I have ever seen. They are doing well and thriving down in the big coop. I really MUST get pictures of them this afternoon.

Pretty sure it was CherylCohen who hatched some part english from me and had a slow feather. I forget who she sent the bird off to in Ca but it's one of the best looking part english blue laced pullets I've seen for awhile.
It was HappyChooks that got the slow ugly duckling from Cheryl.

Sandy - I think you are correct that they were some of your stock that Cheryl hatched. I wish I could remember who it was that has them now - it was a gorgeous pullet, for sure.
