I plan on selling some hatching eggs this year. You can have a Myrtle of your very own.

Jeremy, you've been showing us some awfully appealing pullets. The birds and the photos look great. Don't know how you get anything done. What will you be using for males this year?

Hi I am not a breeder but like eye candy. Big fat fluffy eye candy. I have a few partial English BBS that I believe originated from Bama culls. Let me say her culls are exquisite;) Of course I am partial. I would like to hatch a few more for my pet flock. I am open to any "soft" color. BBS, buff or white. Who has really really short backed fat orp eggs? They don't have to be show birds,Thanks!!

Irene I would set them late Sunday nite. Best bet might be eary Monday morn and plan on shipping on Tues. A lot might depend on an average of how your incubator tends to hatch. Mine generally hatch about twelve hr. earlier than time set. YOu always have a few late stragglers so you have to hatch a few more than you might want Hope this helps

Bama.. what day do you set eggs to ship out chicks on Monday??

Roger, it takes me forever sometimes to get a few good pictures. I put on my rubber boots and my old clothes and go roll around on the ground with the chickens to get decent shots. LOL.

Historically I've been very lucky in hatching multiple pullets, we'll see what this year holds. I think my Chocolate chick in the incubator might be a cockerel, it's got a little comb that is already becoming visibly bigger.

Dave, I have my Splash rooster Neville back at home now, I will be using him again this year for breeding. Last year I hatched pretty much whatever my girls gave me and didn't do any real focused breeding. This year I want to pair Neville specifically with a few hens and see if I can hatch out a few nice birds. Hatching less than last year but with more focus. I want a few Blue cockerels to grow out and if I have a nice Blue boy by the end of the season I will probably switch my breeding plans to focus around using him.

I'm also working on a LF Chocolate Orpington project, if one of the two chicks I have in the brooder is a boy I'll be using him with my girls too.
